Social Media Policy
Following recent activity on Facebook where patients of The Practice posted derogatory comments about The Practice in general we now have the following policy in place.
If any such posts are brought to our attention we will contact the patients. This will be viewed as a potential break down in the Doctor / Patient relationship and may result in you being removed from our list. If the comments are abusive or extreme we reserve the right to immediately remove you from our list and / or involve the Police.
You would not expect to read derogatory comments about yourself at your place of work, nor do we.
Our newsletter is now available for viewing. Please follow the link here to access the newsletter.
Please be advised that we require 48 HOURS notice from a prescription being requested to the prescription being issued. Please remember to order your prescription well before you run out of medication.
Medication being requested to be sent to a pharmacy will require 48 HOURS notice from requesting the prescription to collecting at the pharmacy.
Appointments - Keep them or cancel them!
Due to an increase in the number of wasted appointments through patients failing to attend without informing the surgery, it has become necessary to implement the following policy - IF YOU FAIL TO ATTEND MORE THAN 3 APPOINTMENTS YOU MAY BE REMOVED FROM THIS PRACTICE LIST AND WILL BE REQUIRED TO FIND AN ALTERNATIVE DOCTOR.
If you cannot attend your appointment for any reason please let us know as soon as possible, giving at least 24 hours notice. We can then offer the appointment to someone else.
Age Concern is an essential service which is run by local volunteers for local patients and is dependent purely on donations to keep operating.
The Surgery is happy to collect any donations you wish to give to this valuable service which serves our elderly patients.
